With an investigative nature in both news media and government relations I'm a former staff & freelance journalist, and licensed inquiry agent.
I have lived in South Korea since 2001 and recently provided news coverage for the Asian Games News Service (AGNS) on behalf of The Korea Herald.
As an A1 graded Journalist with the former Australian Journalist’s Association, I have worked within:
the Australian Parliamentary Press Gallery,
the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) as a radio journalist,
as a Bureau Chief with South Australia’s then only independent daily broadsheet, The Advertiser, (pre Murdoch ownership),
as a Media Adviser and Press Secretary at federal, state and territory government levels.
as a copy editor and staff writer with the Korea Times, Seoul,
and as a freelance news copy-editor for GFN Radio, Gwangju.
Holding a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in Social Anthropology, including advanced, supervised research at the University of Toronto, Canada, I studied at PhD level in Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Melbourne within the Departments of Criminology and Anthropology.
