Growing up close to the English countryside my initial fascination with butterflies and moths, spurred on by advances in camera technology, broadened into an interest in insects in general and the plants on which they depend.

My interest in the Bible started when I had to take my sister to Sunday School. It was enhanced by the Christian Fellowship at university and deepened by a year of theology.

I enjoy learning, especially in discussion groups, and sharing my knowledge and experience for the benefit of others.

Now retired from a successful career as a systems engineer I can devote more time to the above activities.
