Holding the title of Knight Grand Cross, the Order of St. John since 1985 for his worldwide charitable contributions, Australian resident Roland Bleyer functions as a successful philanthropist and flourishing businessman. A father of five and grandfather of four, Roland Bleyer began his career in New Zealand as a hair and skin treatment specialist while also developing interests in fashion and manufacturing. Upon his return to Australia, he opened several new clinics specializing in trichology, his area of expertise.
Traveling the world, Roland Bleyer ascertained many new business relationships in the finance and investment fields. These industry affiliations led to many enterprising ventures, including a clinic in Los Angeles, California, that specialized in hair care products and multiple investment concerns in Boston, Massachusetts, that engineered financial products designed to correct problems created by the global financial crisis. Roland Bleyer has traveled to and built professional relationships over the past twelve years in many parts of Asia, Europe, the United States, and the Middle East.
Roland Bleyer contributed charitably to a Queensland flood relief fund in 2011 and to the Sport & Tourism Youth Foundation multiple times between 2009 and 2010. In addition to his monetary donations, Roland Bleyer has implemented a means to support the construction of hospitals and schools in areas of great need. He also funded a scientific research team that was among the first to successfully clone dermal papilla cells in rats.
Today, Roland Bleyer resides in Sydney, Australia, with his partner of more than 10 years. He enjoys snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef and collecting cars. Roland Bleyer continues to aid charities and currently serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee for Hayman Private Equity Australia Pty. Limited.
