Roland Flores, MD, FASA is an assistant professor of anesthesiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, President-Elect of the Colorado Society of Anesthesiologists, and a member of the Colorado Medical Board.

Dr. Flores is a graduate with honors from Rice University and completed his medical education at Baylor College of Medicine, both in Houston, Texas. He did his residency training in anesthesiology at Baylor College of Medicine and completed a fellowship in orthopedic and regional anesthesia. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Flores’ clinical practice is primarily devoted to the complex perioperative care of patients requiring both procedural and medical management of acute pain, with an emphasis on the treatment of traumatic and post-surgical pain in the opioid tolerant patient.

Outside of the operating room, Dr. Flores is a fierce advocate for patient safety and the practice of anesthesiology. He is an elected member of the House of Delegates for the American Society of Anesthesiologists and is actively involved in legislative efforts at both the state and national level.
