Roland Russek-Tusch

Roland Russek-Tusch has been a team lead of agile software development teams at SKIDATA GmbH, Austria, for almost 10 years now. His main team is providing core platform technologies for all SKIDATA cloud solutions, and partly also for on-prem installations at customer side. The provided technologies include a framework of common components and services for developing SKIDATA web portals and web applications, as well as a common server platform for developing, deploying, and operating scalable SKIDATA cloud applications. His second team has been providing a new payment system, which allows SKIDATA to act as virtual payment service provider to its parking customers. Moreover, a modern web application enabling for the payment of SKIDATA parking transactions on the own mobile device is also part of this system.

Roland Russek-Tusch holds a master and PhD degree in Applied Computer Science from Alpen-Adria-Universität (AAU) Klagenfurt, Austria. At AAU, he was doing R&D in the field of distributed multimedia systems for about ten years, where he also led three applied research projects with Minimundus and ASFINAG - the national operator of the high-ranked roads network in Austria. He is author of more than two dozens scientific publications in renowned scientific journals and conference proceedings. From the last research project with ASFINAG, the start-up company intelliRoad has emerged, where he was a co-founder and project leader until he decided to join SKIDATA, the global leader in access systems for parking, mountain, and event venues in 2013.

He is a member of the ScrumAlliance, where he holds a ScrumMaster certificate since 2016. Since 2018 he is the product owner of the SKIDATA Portal.

He is married and father of two children.
