I live my life passionately and energetically. I believe in the strength and talent of each individual. I believe in values and standards and also in the traditional "setting an example". That is the way I live and that is the way I work. To me people are the most important capital in an organization; they make the difference. As the human capital is used better, the organization will achieve better. Connecting people and organizations inspirers me and gives me energy. This begins with the way potential candidates get acquainted with an organization and in fact it only stops when an employee leaves the organization for good. I am a "worker / entrepreneur" with a solid and varied background in business. I have worked in all sorts of circumstances (in economically good and bad times; in small and big companies) and as a result I have experienced how these circumstances can influence individual employees, a team and even a complete organization. Especially in these times of change I am a leader. I don't walk out but take up the challenge, look for opportunities and create the solutions. I am able to watch the broad outlines but at the same time keep an eye on the individual qualities and motives of employees. As founder of Clooks.com in 2004, I've introduced 'on demand web based video applications' in the Netherlands. And then there's my wife Ankie and the 3 boys... and of course music, wtih my friends of Mental Floss!
