Romain Dallemand

Currently Superintendent of Schools with the Bibb County School District in Macon, Georgia, Dr. Romain Dallemand began his vocation as an educational administrator upon completing extensive post-secondary education. Dr. Dallemand graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1992. Following that, he received his Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling at the Caribbean Center for Advanced Studies, now known as Carlos Albizu University. Dr. Dallemand began his career as an administrator, counselor, and teacher with the public school system in Miami-Dade County in Florida. During that time, he also served as a mental health counselor in private practice. During his time with the Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Dr. Dallemand continued to further his academic background, completing his Master’s degree in Learning Disabilities and Emotional Disorders at the University of Miami, and his doctorate in educational leadership with the University of Sarasota, now called Argosy University.
Romain Dallemand has received numerous accolades for his work, including Counselor of the Year and Administrator of the Year by the Council for Exceptional Children. He relocated to Connecticut in 2003, where he worked for five years in several different capacities. He served as an educational consultant with New Haven Public Schools, Director of Pupil Personnel with Torrington Public Schools, and Assistant Superintendent and Principal of the Transitional Learning Academy (part of Hartford Public Schools).
Dr. Dallemand has held other academic positions, including as Superintendent of Rochester Public Schools in Minnesota, and most recently Superintendent of Schools in Bibb County, Georgia. A leading advocate for closing the opportunity gap within within school districts, Romain Dallemand is committed to preparing all students for success in the diverse global economy of the 21st century.
