Roman Kushnaryov

I have been in IT Recruiting since 2006. I started my career in staffing with pretty much "zero" knowledge about it so I had to go through all the steps from training to becoming a specialist.

I began as a Junior Recruiter with sourcing and calling as my major responsibilities and in 6 months was promoted to the lead role with obligations to handle a team of 10-15 recruiters, support existing clients and bring new ones.

I never thought that recruiting will become so important in my life. But I fell in love with this profession and we are still together! Finding candidates, talking to them, making them accept what I offer, walking them through the interview process and finalizing the placement deal - that is what I do on a day-to-day basis.

As a Lead and now as a manager I also train and mentor recruiters who work with me and report to me. For the years in recruitment I learnt a lot about IT tools as I had to deal with IT professionals in defferent domains: programmers (both mainframe and client-server: COBOL, VB.Net, C#, Java, Python, Perl, PHP, C++ - you name it!), business analyst (from ordinary BAs to those who has to work in special industry), project managers, QA analysts, architects, DBAs, system/network administrators, IT support personnel and C-level people. And I enjoy talking to them every single day! I had so many occasions to negotiate down their expectations to match them to the clients' requirements that I lost the score long ago!

The companies like the quick coordination of the interview and placement processes and I could and can satisfy their needs.

I like placing people myself but more joy I get when I have placements in my team - and that happens a lot!

Recruiting is my life!
