Rome is an innovative and driven entrepreneur, pursuing a masters in Finance at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. As a professional with both creative and analytical skill sets, Rome is currently building his startup, “The Walking Stick”, a venture that addresses the issue of elderly individuals being frightened of using the internet and offers a social solution through a google chrome web extension called “Walk Through". The Walking Stick has made great progress since its inception. It was pitched at the annual Innovation Factory summit, chosen out of 50 other startups and was accepted into the Social Innovation Lab an incubator at Johns Hopkins University. Rome graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in both Economics and Journalism Media Studies and a minor in Political Science. He showcases his experience in individual task and project management through his film production company, CXC. His first short film, ($5 Bollywood Short Film), went on to win the best International Film award abroad in Asia. He is a strong believer in community building and, with his position as a director of education he plans to help nurture this growing interest in the entrepreneurial process.
