Romeo Hademe, is not an ordinary politician. As a life long citizen of South Tongu, and with no interest in spending lengthy periods in Accra, he is only interested in developing the region and it’s people.

EDUCATION

Romeo is an educationalist. After spending many years working as an award winning SHS teacher he appreciates that education is the bedrock of development. In South Tongu, we lack natural resources such as cocoa, coffee and timber. Our most important resource is our people. Romeo believes that education and training is of paramount importance so that the youth can function effectively in contributing to their personal development and that of the region. He has therefore placed high premium on the future leaders of our society.

Over the past two decades, Romeo has paid the school and examination fees of many less privileged children. Since 1999, when posted to teach in the District, it has been his greatest joy to support the education of children from poor homes every year. “My only regret is that I would have liked to help more families,” states Romeo. Once elected as MP, Romeo endeavours to help many more children with their educational dreams.

JOB CREATION

Over the years, Romeo has opened windows of opportunities for many local youth. Helping many gain admission into Nurses` Training Colleges, College of Education and Polytechnics. Today, these youth are gainfully employed and are contributing to the growth of their respective communities and the Ghanaian economy in general. Job creation for South Tongu citizens will remain a high priority during Romeo’s time as MP of South Tongu.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

There are many communities in South Tongu that need extra support with important infrastructure. Romeo has worked hard over the last 2 decades to connect communities with poor educational infrastructure to NGOs in order to construct school buildings for them. Toklokpo, Awuyakofe, Sokpoe, Lopko, Agbakofe and Agorgbe are all communities that have benefited from this process.

Dzodome and Akato were supported with pipe-borne water to be used by their citizens. Also, with the support of to Mama Wui I, Queen Mother of Sogakofe, Romeo enabled Toklokpo School with the supply of computers.

When elected, Romeo pledges to continue to continue his work supporting communities in the region. As well as petitioning government to support the most needy cases, he will
