Rommel Ricafort

Rommel Ricafort is a graduate of Mass Communications in Centro Escolar University. He is currently finishing his Master’s Degree in Communications at the University of Sto Tomas. During the late 90’s he started making short films, one of them is entitled “Hukay”

He has been a part of Star Cinema and played roles in many movies at that time. In the early 2000, he ventured into Photography and Video and has created hundreds of videos, audio visual presentations, company portfolios that were shown in concerts and events. In the mid 2000 he, went to the USA and Europe to master his craft all the more. There he was able to direct, shoot and edit hundreds of videos that were used to document the Vatican City, Alaska, Canada and other tourist destinations.

When he returned to the country in 2012, he was hired to be a professor in the Mass Communications Department of La Consolation College, Manila and in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina where he mentored hundreds of students to hone their craft. There he made many short films. These films where shown in SM Cinemas. Aside from that he directed and co-produced indi-films like, RINON (Moses Odunga, Sam Peters Ayugie {African Actors} and Francinne Robielos, and film editor for PADDLE, with Jeffrey Santos, Via Veloso and Perla Bautista. These films were shown in SM Cinemas and in various universities in the country and were used by students to help them in their craft.

He is often invited as a resource speaker in various universities and camps to share his knowledge and talent in the industry. Currently, he is in the shooting stage of film "Higanti" starring: Assunta de Rossi, Jay Manalo, Katrina Halili, Kiko Matos and Meg Imperial, .
