After more than 30 years in IT, I’ve turned the page and become an author. I’ve published my first book and am now writing my second, a fictional novel.

Alongside writing, photography has long been a passion. I specialise in portraits because I’m fascinated by people, by the character, humour and individuality that lie beneath the surface. Sometimes it’s a laugh, a particular style or simply the way someone carries themselves. The challenge is capturing something that feels genuinely them.

Writing and photography have more in common than they might first appear. Both are about observing people closely, finding the details that make them interesting, and telling something of their story.

I live in Zürich, Switzerland, but originally come from Newcastle, England. When I’m not writing or behind a camera, I try to make the most of whatever life puts in front of me.
