Ronald Kochman

A past contributor to Trusts and Estates magazine, Ronald Kochman has served as a licensed attorney in New York and Florida for 35 years. Author of a 1994 article, “Ways To Accomplish Long Term Objectives In Medium Size Estates,” Mr. Kochman has also contributed his extensive legal knowledge through the pieces “Protective Measures and Considerations in Litigation” and “Moving is a Family Decision.” He has also written for Palm Beach Illustrated, contributing the article, “Are You Immune from a State Income Tax Audit?” in 1991. A graduate of Cornell University Law School, Ronald Kochman built his legal education on an A.B. earned at Hamilton College, as well as admission to The Phi Beta Kappa Society. Entering the legal profession upon graduation from law school, he functioned as an Associate with Kaye, Scholer, Fierman, Hays & Handler (now Kaye Scholer LLP). Next, he assumed the role of Vice President and Manager of the Trusts and Estates Department for the United States Trust Company of New York. A Partner with Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP for two years, Ronald Kochman later became a Partner with Hodgson Russ LLP. Currently the manager of the Palm Beach firm, Kochman & Ziska PLC, Ronald Kochman provides clients legal services related to wills and estates, real estate, and family estate planning matters. A respected legal professional, he functioned for three years for The Florida Bar as Co-chairman and Liaison with the Corporate Fiduciaries Committee. In addition, Ronald Kochman has maintained membership in the Trust Law Committee since 1993 and continues to assist New York law firms with Florida issues.
