Ronald Oor

.. I've been been a drummer for most of my life. I attended the school of Music in Utrecht and studied all genres- jazz, pop and contemporary music. In the eighties, one of the first professional bands I played in was Dutch rock band "Diesel" There have been numerous bands since, but nowadays I play mostly blues and Americana. I tour around Europe working with different artists as a free-lancer. After having played all over Europe and a couple of tours in the United States, I got more into the production and management side of things, and although I love playing, I also love working as a tour manager. I’ve always taken an interest in the production side of the touring business. Drummers, I find, are the guys that are good at multitasking. A good tour stands with a solid preparation, but even then, things can go wrong from day one, so I'm always prepared. The most important task for me on the road is to make sure that the Band is happy, and that they don't have to worry about anything, and thanks to technology, touring and pre-production has become much more convenient with mobile phones, gps's, laptops, Ipods, Iphones, voip's, etc etc...More stuff to carry though!
