My personal involvement with long term care began when my dad retired at age 65 and a year later suffered a paralyzing stroke that completely immobilized him for the next six year prior to his death from another stroke. My dad’s at home care took a great toll on my mother who suffered from severe arthritis, and the rest of the family creating great physical, emotional and financial burdens. This was an experience that caused me to become very passionate about helping families recognize the need for long term care planning.

At that time, 1969, long term care insurance didn’t even exist as an option for families to help them deal with the very high cost and demands of caring for a loved one.

In 1998 I joined AG Edwards as a financial consultant in La Jolla, California providing investment, retirement and estate planning advise to clients. AG Edwards recognized that long term care planning was a key component of any well structured Financial Plan and I took the lead in encouraging my clients to incorporate Long Term Care Planning into their families plans. After extensive training, study and preparation I became licensed to represent many of the top insurance companies offering Long Term Care Protection.

Following my move to Denver in 2006, I joined ACSIA as a long term care planning specialist. Today, I devote of my time and energy exclusively to helping individuals and businesses make informed decisions about Long Term Care by providing education, provoking thought, presenting options and formulating plans.
