Ron Dooley San Angelo TX
Ron Dooley, who previously lived in San Angelo, Texas, currently lends his leadership and law enforcement experience to the Jersey Village Police Department, located in the Houston metropolitan region, where he has held several positions since 2011. Simultaneously acting as Training Coordinator, Detective Sergeant, and Criminal Investigations Supervisor, he oversees the prosecution of felony-class crimes, and he ensures that physical evidence needed for a conviction is properly collected and thoroughly analyzed. Ron Dooley's other obligations include taking victim and suspect statements and providing training for newer officers in accordance with procedures set forth by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education.
Dooley brings to his position a considerable amount of formal schooling. In 2005, he completed a Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Angelo State University. Beyond completing his graduate degree at the San Angelo, Texas, institution, he earned distinction as the Psychology Graduate Student of the Year in 2005, and he gained real-world experience as an organizational psychologist by assisting an accounting company with its human resources evaluation program.
With the Jersey Village Police Department, Ron Dooley also draws on his prior police experience. From 2008 to 2011, as Chief of Police of Colorado City Police Department, he oversaw law and code enforcement personnel, as well as employees within the animal control division. In regard to fiscal matters, he developed the department's first long-term capital program and utilized outside grants to procure tasers, upgrade radio communication systems, and secure additional officer vehicles and laptop computers. Dooley also increased community awareness of police involvement through newspaper articles and radio announcements about their activities.
In other previous experience, he served as Regional Service Director for Family Powersports Inc. In this position, Dooley initiated new performance evaluation measures, prepared profit statements, and standardized company policies to increase productivity.
