Rong Yu

Master of Public Administration, 2011

Rong Yu is currently an MPA student at Cornell University based in the United States. With a passion about people, Rong believes that public-private partnerships can be used to promote environmental, social and economic sustainable development.

Rong Speaks English, Chinese and French. Most recently, in 2010, she worked with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Geneva, Switzerland, where she was part of the Climate Change team responsible for building sub-national public-private partnerships to develop mitigation and adaptation plans addressing the climate change challenge. While there, Rong represented UNDP at international conferences on sustainability and CSR and met with various industry groups.

Rong enjoys travelling to broaden her horizons. So far she has been to 12 countries across 3 continents. She hopes to leverage her MPA education toward a career that contributes to international development through sustainable global enterprise.
