As general counsel and chief compliance officer for the Rockpoint Group, Ron J. Hoyl builds on diverse experience in real estate investment law. He began this focus in 1997 as assistant general counsel to Olympus Real Estate Partners, where he oversaw the legal ramifications of private equity investment in commercial real estate. After eight years in this role, Ron Hoyl advanced to a general counsel position with The Milestone Group.
Responsible for all legal processes at this real estate investment firm, Ron J. Hoyl deepened his familiarity with multifamily residential real estate. He has since transitioned back into the field of commercial real estate as part of the Rockpoint Group, which he initially joined as assistant general counsel in 2007. Promoted to his current role in 2015, he oversees risk management in addition to compliance functions and other legal proceedings.
Ron Hoyl comes to his work with a juris doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law, where he stood out as class president and a member of the school's Law Review. He also holds a bachelor of business administration from the University of Texas at Austin, where he concentrated in finance.
