Ron Kim

I am currently working on a start-up tech company dedicated to customer and public engagement. We expect to launch apps end of 2011. In 2007, I was appointed as Regional Representative and Director for Queens County in the Governor’s Office of New York State. In this role, I managed legislative, budgetary, and community matters for Queens County, which has over 2.2 million residents and helped bring more than $30 million dollars of stimulus dollars to Queens County for senior center housing, workforce development and healthcare centers in. Prior to joining in the Governor’s office, I worked as a Policy Analyst for infrastructure policy and economic development for the New York City Council's Transportation and Small Business Committees. At the Council, I drafted and co-authored fifty legal briefings and legislations pertaining to sustainable growth and protection of working-class family interests. I also served under Mayor Bloomberg at the NYC Buildings Department and NYC Small Business Services. Additionally, I worked with a number of elected officials, including NYC Comptroller John Liu, NYC Speaker Christine Quinn, and New York City Council Member Mark Weprin.
