The Ron Kobayashi Trio is a jazz band that plays in a variety of grooves - from straight ahead be-bop to Latin and Funk. The Trio has recorded 1 DVD and 4 CDs to date, receiving airplay across the U.S. and Canada. Pianist and leader Ron Kobayashi has performed for President Bill Clinton, and with Mel Torme, Peter White, Margaret Whiting, Peter Frampton and Kenny Burrell. Bassist and composer Baba Elefante has performed with Roy Hargrove, Pete Christlieb and John Elefante from the rock band "Kansas." Drummer Steve Dixon has performed with "The Untouchables," Bill Watrous and Lee Oskar. The band was voted "Best Jazz Group in Orange County" by readers of the Orange County Weekly.
