I have been very fortunate in this life I was born into. I have been to more than 20 countries, several dozen cities with a chance to live for an extended period of time, more than a year, in nine of those cities, And five of those cities were far outside the boarders of the United States. This has given me an opportunity to meet, know and grow to understand ways of life different from the comfortable way of life I was born into, brought up in, and considered by me to be "normal". That is until I was afforded that opportunity to become friends with people of, for me, a foreign culture, a foreign way of doing things, explaining things, just a foreign way. I was given an opportunity to study and learn in these far away places. As a result I have had the opportunity to receive a great education. I have a Bachalor of Science Degree in International Business, and did my post graduate studies in Organizational Sociology. I completed my formal studies after I had spent nine years living abroad. I think those experiences, which included more than four years in the military and three tours of duty in Vietnam, added tremendiously to my education experiences. (I will address my views and experiences in Vietnam and war in other blogs or post). I have always loved people watching. I love the way people act and interact in the multitude of circumstances in which we all find ourselves involved and intertwind. Life is as complicated and as simple as we make it. Relationships are, I believe, the most difficult of process in which a human can be involved. So very satisfying and at the same time extremely complex, and to be successful, requires continious work. But, sharing one's life with another in love and marrage and hopefully raise a family is what we are put on earth to accomplish. To Procreate and pass our experiences on to our children and grandchildren. The pleasure gained from a family life is second to none. It is the purpose for which we are put on this earth. And all of the above twist, turns, complications and challanges is what I will discuss as I go forward with these Blogs.
