Ron Leach

Ron Leach is a noted Casting Director, Producer, award-winning Director and Acting Coach. He is currently the casting director and one of the producers of the Feature Film Narwhal, and has just completed casting on the feature film Against The Wild . He cast the hit television series Scare Tactics and just finished casting the new television series Destination Fear; and also cast on the films and television series: Victim; Anchor Baby, Good Times Are Killing Me, Da Kink In My Hair, Murdoch Mysteries, The Gringo and Jamie Foxx's Untitled Comedy Project for FOX Network.
He is the Producer of the acclaimed feature-length documentary film Shurtleff, on the famed author, teacher, and casting director Michael Shurtleff; and Audition, the four part instructional series on acting. In the past 20 months Ron has directed 6 short films Altarcations (winner of the twelve international Awards and programmed in twenty international film festivals to date) Shaky Grounds (the winner of two international awards & an Official Selection in 5 international film festivals), Helpline (Official Selection in 2 International Film festivals. His latest short film Profile, premiered at the Big Bear Lake International Film Festival and screened at the Film North Film Festival (where it took a Special Jury Award). Profile makes it's European premier at the UK Film Festival in London England in November, and competes next at the Illinois International Film Festival in Chicago. The Director's Cut of Kiss (also produced/directed for the Blue Flame Collective is available for screening along with Ron's other short films Ron is in post-production on the dramatic short film Love Is.
He has served as a juror for the Intl Emmy Awards; Oaxaca Intl Film Festival in Mexico; the Genie and Gemini Awards; the On The Fly Film Festival; and has moderated the WildSound Script Reading Series. Ron served as President of the Board of Directors to The Canadian Intl Animation Festival (producing two festivals during his five year tenure); was Chairman of the Board of Directors to The Talent Representatives Association of Canada; and President of the Board of Directors to Toronto's Acme Theatre Company (producing over thirty plays during his ten year tenure). He has taught his course of acting skills for the camera at the Stratford Shakespearean Festival; Centennial College Film and Video Production Program, Montreal's Mainline Theatre and The Vancouver Film School.
