There are two kinds of people in this world. "How" people and "Why" people. How people like to learn how to do things, be shown the procedure and swiftly progress to performing said activity on their own. I am a "Why" person. Not only do I feel the desire to be shown how to do something, but I also find myself with the need to know why it is done, or done that way. This outlook grants me the ability to see "the big picture" and to expand or revolutionize. The world needs both kinds of people!
I would like to think that I am one of the most versatile people in the world. I possess many strengths that double as weaknesses. Many people in this world attempt to become they best that they can in a particular field, sport or hobby. I am envious of these kinds of people...to be able to focus all of your energy and intelligence toward one particular aspect of life while not becoming burned out or simply bored is fascinating to me.
My personal mentality revolves around diversification. I have not found my best talent or attribute, and of the many things I excel in, there will always be someone who has dedicated more time, money and sweat into becoming better than me at it. For this reason, I find myself increasing my knowledge and skills over a variety of different skillsets and talents. In my opinion, regarding me, it's better for me to be some what talented at a lot of different things, rather than one of the best there is at one particular thing. As mentioned before, this is personal to me, and I am envious of those who can dedicate all of that focus toward one particular activity, so this does not mean I feel I am "better" or "right" where others are wrong.
My personal skillset includes strong business and operations management qualities as I have worked for and helped run a Chicagoland retail piano store for the first 8 years of my professional career. 911 brought a tragic end to most of the piano industry, so I moved into the real estate profession. I absorbed all the information I could from a large REO broker I worked for during the next 2.5 years. From there, I transitioned into my current career, working for a real estate virtual marketing company helping brokers all over the world through electronic communication. I have been promoted 5 times in the last 2.5 years, starting as a coordinator and now labeled a Senior Account Executive.
