Ron Mix

Partner at Mix Namanny & Berger APC in San Diego, California

I’m Ron Mix—Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee and attorney representing retired professional athletes.

I played in the NFL from 1960 to 1972, primarily with the San Diego Chargers. Football gave me a platform, but it also showed me how quickly a career can end—and how lasting the impact can be.

After retiring, I began practicing law in 1975. I went on to build one of the largest legal practices in the country focused on workers’ compensation claims for former athletes. My work has always centered on helping players navigate life after the game.

“I’ve lived the experience. I know what athletes face when the spotlight fades.”

Today, I practice with Mix, Namanny & Berger in Orange County, California, continuing to advocate for retired athletes across the country.

I also serve as President of the Pro Football Retired Players Association, providing health benefits to thousands of former players and their families.

My focus is simple: put people first and do work that matters.
