Ronn Brown has been working in the Visual Effects and Animation industry for over 20 years. He is mostly known for Matte Painting and Art Direction for Features and Television. Some of his credits include: Ground Battle Matte Painting Supervisor on Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace, Senior Matte Artist on The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Matte Painting Department Supervisor on Kung Fu Panda, Art Director on Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant and Senior Matte Painter on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. He holds a B.F.A. in Fine Art Photography from the University of Michigan, and has shown his photography and art work throughout the United States and London. In 2011, he was appointed by the governor of Florida to serve on the Film and Entertainment Advisory Commission. He was nominated in 2002 for a VES Award for Best Matte Paintings in a Feature Film for Gangs of New York. Currently, heading up the Matte Painting department at Reel Fx working on Book of Life.
