METAL SHOP at Delilahs is Chicago's longest-running metal / rock DJ event.

Every first Tuesday of the month, Chicagoland metalheads + rockers gather for Delilahs' amazing booze menu, and to experience true rock and roll / metal camaraderie. METAL SHOP is a celebration of all things heavy. Like the brotherhood that is metal, METAL SHOP is very much a community-based gathering spot for like-minded rock + metal fans.

9:00pm - 2:00am, METAL SHOP is a five-hour sonic headkick of heaviness.

A veteren of Chicago's music community for more than 15 years, Ron Platzer spins the music and hosts METAL SHOP. A love for music, DJ'g, promoting live shows, and exposing new artists, Ron's passion has turned METAL SHOP into Chicago's most electrifying rock event.

"METAL SHOP is a platform to expose and promote Chicago's vibrant live music scene, the latest releases from the metal/rock world, and to breathe life back into the genre's timeless classics", says Platzer.

With the generous support of record labels, local promoters, and in many cases, the artists themselves, METAL SHOP guests are always treated to giveaway prizes including: Premimum Edition new release CDs, DVDs, and LPs, unique tour merchandise, autographed items, and concert tickets.

"It's my goal to make sure that everyone who comes to METAL SHOP, leaves with something in their hands", Platzer adds.

Along with the max volume rock output, the giveaways, the booze specials, there's always metal/rock videos on Delilahs corner screens.
