ROOZBEH VALAMANESH

Roozbeh Valamanesh is a multidisciplinary designer who moves easily between pixels and metal. From enterprise software to hand-built timepieces, he pairs clear product thinking with a maker’s discipline, translating messy constraints into products that feel thoughtful, honest, and durable.

The rest of his story follows the same arc of breadth and depth. Over nearly two decades, he’s bridged executive-level product leadership with hands-on design and fabrication—guiding end-to-end experiences for brands like Bridgestone, Mars, Hilton, UPS, Olympus, Meijer, Western Union, and CSX. Roozbeh turns ambiguous goals into crisp product narratives, aligning research, design, engineering, and operations so teams ship work that’s coherent and measurable without losing soul.

As an educator, he has taught at The Ohio State University and Arizona State University across undergraduate and graduate levels—studios, technology courses, and thesis advisement—while publishing and speaking on the democratization of technology.

Between 2020–2022, he led Snapp, an internal TCS initiative of innovation management that used AI/ML to plan, facilitate, and document participatory design sessions. He also built an accompanying admin analytics dashboard that elevated qualitative input into decision-grade quantitative insights—illustrating his approach to data visualization and product storytelling.

His studio practice runs through Metronn, where he prototypes with CNC mills and lathes, SLA/FDM 3D printers, and CO₂/MOPA fiber lasers, and through Dogma, his bespoke watch micro-brand. There, he experiments with rhodium and gold, mother-of-pearl inlays, laser-engraved brass and nickel-silver, and disc-GMT complications—proof that narrative, material, and precision can live in the same product.

Colleagues know Roozbeh for three habits: define strategy clearly, execute cleanly, and grow resilient teams. He mentors designers and product managers to think in systems, converse fluently with engineering, business, and finance, and carry integrity from research to release.

Outside the studio, you’ll find him producing music, shooting photos, biking desert trails, fishing at first light, or fine-tuning a watch movement. He holds a B.Des. in Industrial Design from Azad University of Art & Architecture and an MSD in Design from Arizona State University.
