When I'm at home, I love to cook and grill. There are few things more relaxing to me than being on the porch of my house with a grill full of burgers and some music in the background.

My favorite meal I made last year was BBQ chicken thighs with a side of Old Bay corn on the cob. I marinated the chicken overnight in some pretty standard stuff. Olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, chili powder, Old Bay, and maybe some other stuff, but nothing too crazy. Then I glazed them with barbecue sauce as I was cooking them on the grill. Pretty simple, but the flavor profile was profound and the sweetness was the perfect amount. Melted butter mixed with Old Bay: brush the corn a few times to make sure the flavor sticks, get a little char, and boom.

I only really cook food I love to eat, so I have not made a ton of dishes with a lot of veggies. We're working on that, kind of. Most stuff I make is chicken, beef, or pork with a well-seasoned side of a carb.

My kryptonite is mac and cheese. I can never find the perfect consistency in the cheese sauce. The cheese sauce is always too starchy or too thick or something; it's not that hard of a dish. I always end up leaving with a mess of dishes and disappointment. Hopefully I'll figure that one out this year.
