My work examines how individuals’ genetic predispositions interact with their families, schools, and communities to shape mental health and educational trajectories. I put big genetic data in social context, combining genomic methods with family-based, developmental and sociological approaches. My collaborative research contributes to ongoing debates about the value of genomic data for understanding social and health inequalities.
