Rosanda McGrath
Convenor, Change agent, and Mum in London, United Kingdom
I am a connector, a change agent, and Mum to four daughters who is passionate about living more sustainably and in a more equitable way on the one planet we cohabit.
I seek to lead by example and hope that my actions will inspire others.
I'm an environmentalist: A vegetarian cook, train traveller, cyclist, upcycler, composter, and community activist. Most proud to be Director of The Sound Lounge, the first carbon-neutral music venue in the UK.
I aspire to live in more inclusive, cohesive and self-sustaining communities. I am hopeful that we can overcome our unconscious bias by bringing together people who are very different to ourselves.
I have recently founded a voluntary organisation, Refugee Connections, based in London. We are focused on supporting Afghan refugees to help enable integration into British society. During the first wave of Covid-19 pandemic, I ran a scrub hub with 60 + sewers upcycling bedlinen into scrubs for frontline workers.
