I currently work as a Program and Event Specialist for Giuffrida Associates, a consulting firm in Washington, DC. GA provides logistical services, meeting, conference and event planning, and association management to a wide array of clients predominantly based in the DMV area. As the Program and Event Specialist, I oversee the management of three association’s day to day functions. Throughout the year, GA takes on a number of government contracts which include the management of conferences, meetings, webinars, and Livestream; the design and production of marketing materials, promotions, reports, case studies, newsletters and professional editing.

Before GA, I was the personal assistant to Ambassador John W. McDonald (ret.) at the Institute for Multi-Track Diplomacy. I assisted with several project design workshops and worked as the Ambassador’s point of contact for all of his scheduling and communications tasks. One of my main accomplishments at IMTD involved working hand-in-hand with the graphic design team. We built a new vision for the Institute’s Climate Change Program including the creation of a new logo, website, and mission.

I also served as a Programming Intern in the office of the Honorable Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-R). On the Hill, I managed constituent services that entailed planning, organizing and completing requests for constituents. I provided support to the Legislative Directors with policy research and briefings and worked with the Press Secretary to provide daily reports for both the local and district office. An exceptionally rewarding experience during the internship was the opportunity to work directly with the Chief of Staff providing full office support during the government shutdown.

I received my Bachelor of the Arts degree from New College of Florida in Sarasota, Florida with a double major in Political Science and International & Area Studies and a minor in Spanish Language and Culture. Presently, I am enrolled at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced Academic Programs pursuing a degree in Global Security Studies.
