I draw stories.Somewhere between childhood and adolescence, the pencil, pen, and brush became a “talisman” for me. With these instruments in hand, I could make sense of the world and make ideas come alive for others.

I'm a visual artist who likes to be moved, and to move others, through stories. My art involves writing, storyboarding, drawing, and animating... and mixing these elements with colour, music, voice, and a measure of good timing!

On the way to bringing my art and my work together, life has taken me through a diversity of experiences: working in production teams of documentary TV shows, designing one-sheets for shows in pre-production, even transcribing and shot-listing video footage. I’ve lived in Manila, Edmonton, Montreal and since 1995 — Vancouver, where I currently reside with my husband and our two beautiful children.

Today, I’m very comfortable with a digital stylus; my drawing surface is often a tablet; my Mac is my animation station and video editor... yet I still return to pencil, pen and brush to conceptualize every story I draw, on a big piece of paper on my studio wall.
