Yacary Rosa

Camden, Nj

I am the youngest of two older sisters and a brother. I was raised in Camden but my nationality is Dominican. I have a good relationship with my parents and am the second child to graduate from high school. I am close to my family because I know that my family members are the people who will always be there to support me as I reach for my goals. I am attending college as a full time student at Camden County College. I am going to transfer to Rowan University to complete my education.

I attended Leap Academy Charter High School, where I tried to make the most of my time and participated in extracurricular activities. I played varsity softball as a right fielder and participated in community service projects that included giving vegetables to little kids. I only attended this school for two years and got the best out of it. Last summer, I had a summer job in Cooper Hospital where I had the chance to care for babies: now, I want to be a pediatric nurse.

I have been dedicated and hardworking when it comes to achieving my goals. I will not let any obstacle get in my way. One day, I will become a pediatric nurse, and I also hope to get married and have a family of my own. My future is bright as long as I keep a strong faith.
