Rose Cordova
Actor, Writer, and Filmmaker in Albuquerque, NM
Rose Cordova grew up doing theater at an early age. In grade school, she participated in speech contests, poetry readings, and recitals. Rose continued in the performing arts throughout high school and was part of the theater department in college. In the early 2000s, she had the opportunity to take part in a traveling theater group that put on plays, most of which were bilingual — notably performing in a visually stunning musical titled "Cuento De La Llorona" presented in performances throughout New Mexico.
Rose then lived in Los Angeles, and later, New York City continuing to study and booking small roles in film and tv. Living in New York was inspiring, demanding, and a significant period of personal and creative growth. Rose took the opportunity to not only accept acting roles but also work behind the scenes as a Production Assistant to grow her experience and fuller understanding of what it takes to produce a scripted project.
Growing experience and studying with top coaches in New York, she began to book co-star roles in both television and film projects as well as some off-Broadway plays. Titles include The Good Kind, My Crazy Love, and Diabolical.
Rose returned to New Mexico and continues her acting career where she has in various local tv shows, movies, and most recently, the brand new podcast, Frijoles y Arroz, cast as the Chola Elfia. Continuing to grow her career as a writer, producer, and documentarian, Rose is developing a web series, a short film, and a 4-part documentary series that focuses on homelessness among Indigenous people in the United States next year.
Rose is available for projects in New Mexico, Los Angeles, and New York.
