Rose Porter

Rose was born in historic Pictou Co., N.S. and for most of her life has lived on Nova Scotia's ruggedly beautiful Eastern Shore where she lives and works beside the ocean in a renovated goat barn.

Rose is a multi media artist with a passion for fibre arts, fused glass and oil painting, often combining one or more media for her art.
Studying the art of silver smithing with jewellery artist Michele Borgia and the late Frances MacDowell, plus many years of teaching floral design has developed her eye for color and composition.

In the past five years Rose is pleased to have had the privilege to study oil painting under the watchful eye of international artist, Zequira Rexhepi (Zack). Studies continue as Zack mentors the eclectic "Wednesday Night Painting Group".
