I am a turtle when I write because I pace myself. I go slow and think cautiously. I’m not afraid to take a break because as they say slow and steady wins the race. When I write research papers my evidence is as hard as my shell. When I write stories the transition from paragraph to paragraph is as smooth as my skin. A turtle has a small head and since it has a small head, it has small eyes, and it can be hard for small eyes to capture everything in sight, but it’s possible and it’s possible for me to find inspiration if I open my eyes wide enough. At times I get stuck like a turtle on its back, but once i overcome writers block, eventually I can flip over into a great story. When I proof read I get frustrated like a snapping turtle who feels threatened, but I know if I get through it the paper is perfected and done. A turtle is not high on the food chain, but they do well for themselves as long as they stay away from hawks. Although I’m not the best writer, I think I do pretty well for myself.
