Rosie O’Halloran is an influential and inspiring young changemaker. At the age of 23, Rosie founded a non-profit organisation based in Uganda, foundations.(au), which empowers children to be champions for positive change in their communities. Her organisation started a children's home in 2010 and has worked with the local government to develop and deliver primary school health and education programs. In 2014 Rosie co-founded the Institute for Global Women Leaders a social enterprise, with a mission to support, connect and empower young women from around the world as agents for change. Head to www.igwl.org to find out more.
As a public figure and role model for young people for over ten years, Rosie shares her personal journey and leadership experiences through her national school speaking tour. Recently Rosie addressed a group of young women at NSW Parliament and gave the Prefect Induction Address at MLC School in Sydney.
In 2014 Rosie was awarded the InStyle and Audi Women of Style Scholarship in support of the Institute for Global Women Leaders heartworks program. In 2013 Rosie was a recipient of a New South Wales Young Citizen of the Year Award (City of Canada Bay) and in 2012 Rosie was named one of Australia’s Young Social Pioneers by the Foundation for Young Australians. In 2011 Rosie was awarded a Paul Harris fellow by the Rotary International Foundation in recognition for her humanitarian work. Rosie is a graduate of the University of New South Wales.
