I'm a fashion designer from Copenhagen, Denmark exploring the lines between thought-provoking creativity, and functional plus futuristic garments.
All my concepts contain several layers. Look at my message as an envelope and a postcard - symbols of these layers. They protect/secure the actual message/letter that holds the intended information from the sender, me, in this situation. If you wish to get through the layers of perception to fathom the correct context, you’ll first have to remove the layers – understand them. My end-goal is to obtain an equal-minded bond with the recipients of my creatives.
I am inspired by both fictive and non-fictive concepts. For the SS20 collection I was inspired by substances able to secure the carrier. For example a firefighter's suit or multifunctional military vests that not only protects, but also has other functions as storage and detachable parts. For the SS19 collection I had the weird thought of a fictive concept: adapt to escape, as we are constantly watched by AI, surveillance cameras, and more. I illustrated the setting as a character positioned in the middle of a crowd. To escape, ""the character"" would have to fit in by imitating the characteristics of the surroundings.
