Ross Levinsohn is the CEO of The Arena Group (formerly Maven) and Sports Illustrated Media, and has been a longtime leader within the media and technology industries. His role as CEO of Sports Illustrated began in 2019 before he was named CEO at The Arena Group, which acquired Sports Illustrated publishing in 2020.

Ross Levinsohn has worn a number of professional hats throughout his 35-year career. His expertise has been at the crossroads of technology, finance, and emerging media, forcing him to adapt quickly to the changing nature of all three industries.

He has served on the Board of Directors of Thryv since 2016, supporting SMB with software that enhances their digital business strategy. From 2017 to 2018, he was CEO at Tribune Interactive where he oversaw publishing for the 100 publications managed by the Tribune, including Chicago Tribune, New York Daily News, Baltimore Sun, and Orlando Sentinel. He was also a regular CNBC contributor 2016-2017.

Ross was Senior Advisor at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) from 2016-2017. In 2014, he was Co-Founder of Whisper Advisors where he offered a broad range of financial advice and growth strategies to companies of all sizes. He has also served as CEO of Guggenheim Digital Media, on the Board of Directors of Tribune, and the Board of Trustees at American University.

Perhaps his most notable work was during his time at Yahoo where he was Executive VP of the Americas, Interim CEO, and Head of the Global Media. At Yahoo, Ross Levinsohn managed a $5 billion revenue and $20 billion market cap as head of the giant internet pioneer.

Prior to his work at Yahoo, Ross was Managing Director at Fuse Capital, President of Fox Interactive Media, VP of Programming at CBS Sportsline, and Director of Production and Marketing Enterprises at HBO.
