Hello my name is Ross Rosenberg, and I want to be an entrepreneur. Once I graduate college with my degree in Management, I will be pursuing a career in sales in the North Jersey area, I also plan on taking courses to become a licensed real estate agent. My father is currently remodeling a house to flip and I have been working as his project manager for the past couple of years. Working as the project manager has shown me what it is like to be in a management position. This experience has sparked my interest in selling homes, and in the future I would like to buy and flip houses as a separate business venture to my day to day career.

The experience I have gained from working various jobs and internships has prepared me for a job in sales. During the summer of 2015 I was a marketing intern at a wholesale landscaping supply company called Levitt’s LLC, a family owned business. Working with Mr. Levitt really put into perspective what it is like to be an entrepreneur. This internship also gave me extensive knowledge of how a corporation is managed and the different ways there are to marketing and selling a product. Over that summer I sold approximately $7,000 in landscaping equipment through a business EBay account that I set up for the company. Another one of my obligations at Levitt’s was to work with website developers and help create a new website to improve the company’s online presence. While doing this I had to collaborate with the employees of all of the departments within the company, so that I could compile the information I needed to put into the website. I had to manage these employees and create deadlines so that I could get the information I needed for the website. This gave me a first-hand experience as to what it is like to manage a group of people, what the company wanted to market, and how they wanted to market their products to be sold.

I only plan to work in sales until I have saved up enough capital to invest in starting my own business. The jobs I have worked have prepared me for a career in sales, but the management concepts I have learned through working and attending school will one day be very useful in starting my own company. Sales is the staple of any successful company, but a company can only be successful through proper management. Which is why I believe my degree and experience will one day help me to be a successful business owner.
