Nicholas Rosseinsky is a computational neuroscientist with advanced expertise in multiple fields. Originally studying mathematics and then theoretical physics at the University of Cambridge, he went on to explore the application of sophisticated quantitative models to human decision making and behavior in commerce, finance, and economics. Turning to the biological foundations of behavior, he then received post-graduate training and conducted research in computational neuroscience in San Diego, at UCSD, the Swartz Center for Computational Neuroscience, and the Salk Institute. Most recently, he has been developing new symbol-based approaches to the scientific study of consciousness, a critical missing element for a complete mathematical characterization of natural order.
