Leonard Roudner

Dr. Leonard Roudner received his Doctor of Medicine from Melbourne Medical School at the University of Melbourne, which is the oldest medical school in Australia. From 1970 to 1972 Dr. Leonard Roudner trained at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in Brisbane, Australia, and he went on to complete his surgical residency at Brisbane’s Mater Hospital in 1973. In the late 1970s, Dr. Leonard Roudner completed another surgical residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida. Continuing his advanced education into the first years of the 1980s, Dr. Leonard Roudner completed a plastic surgery residency at Loyola University Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, and its nearby affiliated hospitals, including Cook County Hospital, Maywood Regional Hospital, and Children’s Memorial Hospital. Dr. Leonard Roudner also finished a hand surgery fellowship at the Loyola University Medical Center. Since founding Aesthetic Surgery Center of Coral Gables in July 1981, Dr. Leonard Roudner served as the President and Plastic Surgeon of the organization. From his office in Miami, Florida, Dr. Leonard Roudner has performed more than 13,000 breast augmentations. Early in his career, Dr. Leonard Roudner refined the technique of periareolar submuscular augmentation, which has since become an accepted method for breast implantations in the United States. In addition, by placing implant material beneath muscle tissue, this technique creates enhanced breasts that seem more natural, both visually and upon touch. A prominent figure within national medical circles, Dr. Leonard Roudner holds membership in the American Medical Association, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. In addition, Dr. Leonard Roudner received the status of Diplomate from the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Leonard Roudner also remains active within community-based organizations, including the Greater Miami Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
