I was born in New Mexico and blessed with Texas frontier blood coursing through my veins. As child I spent a lot of times outdoors – building forts, climbing trees, and playing in the mountains. This created great experiences that have informed a life of exploration and the use of myself as the ultimate guinea pig. The love of having my hands dirty led me to study Art and Design at CCAC in the late 80’s where I studied furniture design. In 2008 after 20 years of furniture/art and being involved in the Sustainable building, I found CCA’s new Design Strategy MBA the best method to achieve the next level in sustainable systems thinking. dMBA 2010. My current focus is not only in Biomimicry as an innovation sparkplug but Design Thinking and Strategy as catalysts for inspired leapfrogging. Hoped for outcomes: NextGen Product design/development, Dymaxion Reality Community planning. This could include grown sneakers or jeans at Nike or Levis. Or the redux of our public school system or Healthcare. At least.
