Roxanne de Bastion
Roxanne de Bastion
"...One of the most perfect voices I have ever heard!" (BBC 6)
"If you ever get a chance to go see her live – definitely do!" (BBC Introducing)
Roxanne de Bastion's compositions range from intimate, lilting anti-folk to raw 60's blues-rock. What ties them together is her charm, her instantly recognizable voice and the sincere, witty and downright ballsy lyrics. The singer songwriter hails from Berlin and her music is influenced just as much by her travels as it is by her musical heroes John Lennon, Ray Davies, Bob Dylan and Judee Sill.
Roxanne has been touring around the world on her own merit since she left home with a guitar and a one-way ticket. Her self-released singles have been played up and down the BBC and not a day goes by without an interview, review or feature surfacing online. Now Roxanne de Bastion has recorded her debut album with produced by Gordon Raphael (The Strokes / Regina Spektor) in her hometown Berlin.
