At eight years old, there were not too many advantages growing up in South Central Los Angeles. You were lucky if anyone would provide guidance in hopes to better oneself. Things changed when Roy met Norvel - an afterschool coach. Norvel inspired Roy to pursue his performing and storytelling dreams. By the age of 11, Roy acquired another chance to act from Nathaniel Taylor from the hit 70’s show “Sanford & Sons”. Nate enabled Roy to fortify and polish his new found storytelling skills. He was also guided by his good friend Michael T. Williams known as "Bubba" from the Oscar winning film, "Forrest Gump". To this day, Roy is thankful for people who made a difference in his life.

Recently Roy worked on Ryan Murphy’s hit Fox Show “Scream Queens”. Working close with Jamie Lee Curtis, John Stamos, and Kirstie Alley, he found himself up close and personal with seasoned talent. As veterans of the industry, they exhibited warmth, generosity, and creative respect which are a learned craft only molded by someone who is well-trained. During the course of the filming, Jamie and Roy creatively bonded which made the production that much more fun - a method her legendary dad, Tony Curtis, would utilize on the big screen.
