Roy 'Caz' Caswell

Roy ‘Caz’ Caswell has been in the insurance business for twenty years and in the technology side of the industry for more than twelve. This provides him with a unique understanding of both the sales and business side of the operation as well as the infrastructure behind the scenes that binds everything together. Roy has been with Seitlin and Company since November of 2008 where he oversees all aspects of Seitlin’s voice and data networks, servers, workstations and daily IT operations. He also manages the relationships with all software and hardware technology vendors. Roy has been instrumental in restructuring the company’s voice and data topology for redundancy and reliability during a disaster recovery scenario as well as providing for significant cost savings. He has also implemented a variety of other cost savings measures within the IT department which have returned tens of thousands of dollars to the company’s bottom line. Roy was first licensed as a Life and Health agent in 1991 and went on to become a licensed Property and Casualty agent in 1996. In 1995, he and his then wife started an independent insurance agency on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. They built the agency to a multi-million dollar operation before selling to a competitor in 2000 and relocating to South Florida. Roy’s love of the technology side of the business prompted him to dedicate his efforts in that arena and in 2000 he began his career with Hull and Company, a managing general agency in Fort Lauderdale. For 7.5 years he served their IT department as a business systems analyst and their national IT Education Manager. After Hull and Company sold to Brown and Brown insurance, Roy teamed up with two partners and formed a start-up software company specializing in call center CRM applications for the auto insurance/extended vehicle warranty industry. Changes in federal regulations caused a sudden and unexpected downturn in the call center market and the company closed in under two years. Roy has technology certifications from CompTIA and from Microsoft and is the proud father of two children under two years old.
