Hau, greetings I am a Oglala Lakota native American who works with the youth on the pine ridge Indian reservation as a mentor/role model ....I am a traditional Lakota who practices my spiritual beliefs I have a unique position here and I share my story with the youth I work with through the non-profit I am building wowakwala mani is a organization that will work with the youth by teaching them our traditional laws, and values, our seven Sacred rites, empowering the youth to lead our people by raising strong young minds rather then healing broken men and women,at wowakwala mani we will return to healthy living through organic gardening, living daily in prayer, through prayer circles, sweat lodge, talking circles, empowering these children, instilling hope with positive reinforcement, here on the pine Ridge Indian reservation there is an 88% unemployment rate, alcohol/drugs are the norm. So this endeavor is my life's blood of my ancestor Crazy Horse, when I had a spinal abscess in June of 2013 in which it nearly killed me and left me paralyzed, I returned to the rez where I felt useless, so I began my online courses through Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA) I earned my Associate in Arts in Healthcare Management and went on to National American University (NAU) where I began my Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration, and am currently working on my Master's Degre in Business Administration, I share my story with the youth and I use my handicap as my strength not my weakness, I believe Wakan Tanka, tunkasila has a plan for us and things happen for a reason.
