Rosalind A Andrews

Austin Texas

As an Army Brat, I traveled frequently with my family and spent a lot of time reading along the highways, changed schools often during holidays: "furloughs". My family history stretches from the east, along the Chesapeake and down through the Magnolia State. We vacationed most often along the beaches of the Gulf Coast with my cousins, all the progeny of a large southern family, whose patriarch began with nothing and became the owner of a lumber business.

My interests include historical military research, following movements of troops in WWII and Korea. I also research the history of our families through the 18th and 19th centuries, and in the process, discover how American History influenced the movement and fate of these families and many like them. In addition, I have researched the American Indian treaties of the south and events of the slave ship trade.

I still read fiction, but prefer historical fiction and biography to many other genres.
