Aerospace Engineer and innovator in Sri Lanka

Support my charity

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been intrigued by the idea of navigating the USS Enterprise alongside Kirk and Spock exploring the final frontier, Outer Space. This desire propelled me to attain my Bachelor’s and Master's Degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Purdue University. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in the field of GNSS reflectometry (a method of Remote Sensing).

I have had the opportunity to lead and be part of several different projects that have allowed me to hone my leadership skills while working cohesively within a group of individuals from diverse backgrounds. I also possess hands on experience building experiments for companies such as Armadillo and Masten, which allowed me to have a very positive attitude when confronted with problems and to polish my analytical skills.

I am fueled by the notion of international co-operation and believe that the youth of the world must work in unison to overcome global crises and then to push boundaries of exploration. I envision spearheading such a team to develop sustainable and resilient solutions by utilizing aerospace and related technologies. What can I say, I like to Dream Big!

I strongly believe in being the change we want to see and one of my main aspirations is to help ensure that every child receives a quality education. I founded Go DREAM Initiative, a small non profit organization to motivate and aid underprivileged children in Sri Lanka to fight for their dreams. This has been the most humbling experience of my life.

If I’m not baking sweet treats or enjoying a quiet swim during my spare time, you can find me inscribing poetry, inspired by an utterly wild imagination kindled by the love for reading and being an only child. I also love traveling and discovering the beauty of Earth, the place we all call home.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cheers,
