Did I say I like to stay busy with creative vents? I guess I would by lying if I didn't. I live in the south but grew up in the north and had some amazing opportunities.
I was professionally trained as a blues singer and was accepted to Julliard but didn't go. Yes.. That's right. I was headed to med school, so I bypassed Julliard. But I didn't go to med school either. Instead, I went to school for Business administration and ran a conglomerate of 9 businesses for 16 years and am now a business consultant.
I had a stroke in 2002 that changed every facet of my being and I found out I could paint and draw. This was amazing, because I really never tried before the stroke. I also was diagnoised with COPD and a close friend talked me into singing again and it has helped keep my lungs strong. What I didn't realize was that I would get praise from the likes of Bob Dylan, Neil Merrywether, Panama Dave Parrot and a former guitarist with Todd Rundgren. I have also been asked to lay vocals for a soundtrack for an upcoming film with an Australian producer.
I write, sing and paint for fun and it keeps me from going nuts.
I used to model and there is a statue of me in a Swedish Art Museum riding an Atom bomb. No lie..lol It was a piece surrounding the event of the bombong of the twin towers and the sculpter made me a super heroine..lol..a long story behind that one..
I also play with photography when I can and enjoy a shoot on a sunny day.
